USB Power Delivery board with multiple power inputs

USB PD Nexus

USB PD Nexus

The power of USB-PD, now uninterrupted!

This small board allows you to power your electronics via multiple USB ports, allowing for redundant power, or to easily swap power sources.

Using the USB Power Delivery protocol, this board supports multiple output voltages - choose from 5, 9, 12, 15, or 20 volts to match your power needs.

It features two USB inputs and one terminal block input, allowing for seamless power source transitions - ideal for swapping out power banks in the field without interrupting your device’s operation.

This is one of two fun projects that I worked on while I was an intern at Technology Innovation Institute that are being published. We hope that you will find them useful, stay tuned for the next one! (Teaser: it's an ESD safe component storage carousel that you can make at any makerspace for quick circuit board assembly.)

All files, including schematics, photos, and a 3D-printed case design are available on our GitHub. Find more information there, build it, use it, and let me know how it works for you!
